As I wrote to a few folk in another sections, it is one publications that I try to look at regularly. Maybe because it is Canadian, it frequently covers a broader territory, writing on films and makers not always covered, not always exhibited, in the States?
It also considers experimental and narrative work, video and film, books and dvds. As you note, it is extensive and unexpected in its pursuits. (Consider the current attention paid to the recently deceased Manny Farber.)
Which is all to say I agree with your take on its admirable variety. I hope that it proves to be a rich reading experience. The guidelines for the next blog assignment (due by October 29) are now posted on the D2L site. Check them out and good reading. I look forward to reading your posts.
